 Hello Everyone:

Our Annual Fall Face-Off Meeting, Sunday, September 26, 2010, will, again, be at theMotorCity Casino-Hotel in DetroitParking at this location is FREE for LCAHL Teams.

This is not a scheduling meeting. This meeting is designed to allow teams to complete their registration process, obtain league materials, network with league representatives, other teams and vendors, and to present our team management with educational opportunities.

This is an ADULTS ONLY Event. Teams may bring as many ADULTS as they would like to participate in the training. Teams may come at any time if there are conflicts with their assigned times.

It promises to be a full day and it is important to have the number in attendance correct to insure we have sufficient league materials and enough space to accomodate everyone. If you need to change your team's status as to attendance, please letLCAHL know in advance so we can make adjustments.

PRESENTATIONS:

  • USAH ADM Overview and Q&A presented by Bob Mancini of USA Hockey
  • "Sports Injuries and what you can do to prevent them" presented by the Detroit Medical Center
  • "What's new in Pointstreak" introducing some exciting new features that are available to all LCAHL teams this season
  • "New Manager Training and Orientation" session desinged to help new and, even, experienced managers get 'up-to-speed' for the season

HOUSE SUMMIT MEETING: There will be a House Summit meeting led by Gordon Lietz and Liz Koons and open toAssociation representatives to discuss ways to enhance our House Program. Association representatives interested in participating in this 'Summit' please RSVP to Liz Koons, below:

PRIZES: Attendees will be entered in drawings to win Red Wings tickets and other prizes such as USA Hockey gear andFirst Aid Kits that have been donated by our vendors.

VENDORS: Vendors will be available onsite to discuss fundraising ideas, information and other products of interest to teams.

TEAM NETWORKING: we will have a team networking area where teams can gather with other teams in their age classification to set up scrimmages or just tell war stories.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Teams will meet at the following times:

  • 10:00 AM  ALL House Teams
  • 12:00 PM  Girls Travel, Midget A, AA, Bantam A, AA, Pee Wee AA
  • 2:00 PM Pee Wee A, Squirt A, AA, Mite A, AA

STAY THE WEEKEND AT MOTORCITY: LCAHL has a block of rooms reserved at $129 per night for those that would like to stay overnight on 9/25 and/or 9/26. Reservations must be made by 9/13. Teams should state that they are with the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League when making reservations.

If you are staying overnight the weekend of the Face-Off Meeting, you need to make restaurant reservations way ahead of time, especially at MotorCity Casino-Hotel, or you will not get in to eat!
