Welcome to the 2012 Spring North/Harrison JV Prep team!!!
Spring Season Information:
April 10 – May 22, 2012
10 Skates (each 1.5 hours), will schedule some games on these days
Sundays 7:45 – 9:15 pm
Tuesdays 8:15 – 9:45 pm
10 scrimmage games (5 home 5 away)
Cost: $200 + socks and jersey costs (approx $20) that will also be used in the fall as practice jerseys.
$120 due at first practice in April, $100 due first practice in May. Checks can be made out to NFH JV Prep.
We are not starting until the second week of April due to spring break. Many boys are playing other sports this spring so there will definitely be some conflicts. Please let me know when there are conflicts once your schedule is known.
My commitment to you is to keep your costs reasonable, hockey fun, and focused on the development that individual players need. Some will be playing their first high school hockey, while others are trying to make the jump to Varsity.
Denise Goldin is our Financial Manager and Molly Brennan is our Team Manager. Molly will be contacting you for any paperwork she will need to roster everyone for spring. We publish our practice and ice schedule on the website (www.fhhahockey.org, and click on the Junior Varsity tab at the top, then the schedule tab at the left) Please check it regularly for updates. We will be adding games as other teams firm up their ice and schedules.
Program Objectives:
- Improve each player’s hockey skills, and creative ability
- Help you achieve your goal of making the Varsity team
- Discover that winning comes from hard work and team effort
- Learn the Varsity team’s defensive system, PP, and PK, and practice drills
- Build and encourage good sportsmanship
I look forward to working with all of you and in having a fun spring. Our first practice is scheduled for Tuesday April 10, but I am trying to get a sheet on Wednesday next week. For those who will be in town, we will be scheduling a party/get together at our house on Sunday April 8th. Details to follow.
